About Kelly Sosan Bearer
Kelly Sosan Bearer, M.A. serves as the Executive Director for iEvolve: Global Practice Community. iEvolve is a global,
integrally-informed practice community co-founded by leading Integral Spiritual teachers Swami Sally Kempton, Diane Musho Hamilton Sensei, Dr. Rabbi Marc Gafni, and Natya Priya Sofia Diaz. iEvolve has it all…A Swami, a Sensei, an Oxford Rabbi, and a Yogini.
Previously, Kelly worked at Integral Life, Inc. as a writer and content producer. She worked for Ken Wilber’s Integral Institute from 2003-2008 and has been a student of Integral theory and practice for over a decade.
Kelly is an ordained Zen monk in both the Soto and Rinzai schools and studies with Zen Master Genpo Roshi. She received the dharma name “Sosan” in 2006, which means “Sangha Luminous” and has appeared on the Buddhist Geeks podcast show numerous times. Kelly is currently exploring the application of Integral Theory to the Zen tradition.
Kelly completed her graduate studies at Naropa University with a M.A. in Transpersonal Counseling Psychology. She is a published author in the Journal of Integral Theory and Practice. Her article is titled Toward an Integral Treatment Methodology for Schizophrenia.
